Handbags to cherish

Working in Italy as an interior designer for our family business, Appassionata, I come across many talented artisans, who work alongside me, creating designs and products to furnish our luxury homes.

Imagine how lucky I felt a couple of years ago to be introduced to the Ribichini family who designed and produced handbags for famous brands, including, Gucci, Prada and Bottega Veneta. The family have been making leather goods since the early 1900’s, and asked me if I would be interested in selling their handbags.

Using Italy’s finest leather, a local artisan is hard at work in his ancient workshop on the outskirts of a medieval town in Le Marche. Andrea Ribichini sits at his workbench, carefully weaving leather by hand, producing an exquisite, elegant range of handbags for Appassionata Boutique. His previous clients include luxury brands, Gucci, Prada, Bottega Veneta and Louis Vuitton, you can’t fault his workmanship.

Every detail is taken into consideration, from the quality of the leather sourced in Florence, to the choice and mounting of the fittings.

Each individual handbag is lovingly handmade using the same traditions passed on to Andrea from his father and grandfather.

Producing high quality leather handbags is our responsibility, bringing you the elegance and beauty of our products. Our designs are exclusive, and we only produce a limited number of handbags in each range.

A handbag must look beautiful from the outside and practical on the inside. Each bag is beautifully lined and has three internal pockets, one with a zip closure, to neatly organise all those essential items we carry with us.

Our stunning collection includes both classic and contemporary designs for every occasion and we regularly add new styles and colours.
