Livinginlemarche together with Oliva Verde actively promote a large range of olive oils that are produced in the Marche region.
They have held many tasting events in both London, Norwich and Cambridge over the past five years and are currently planning a series of olive oil tasting events in London to both promote the oils and also the launch of their new olive oil school in London and in Marche this autumn. Their new dedicated olive oil schools will allow clients to learn more about the many different varieties of olives, the different types of oils, the cultivation and harvesting of olives, and also production of olive oils by the makers at their mills.
Wine tastings and events are a common feature these days throughout both the UK and other parts of the world, but dedicated tutored tastings of olive oils are still hard to find and they are working hard to organise events at great venues to promote the appreciation of good olive oils from the Marche region. Over the years they have made many friends and contacts both in Marche and also other parts of Italy who produce excellent organic olive oils and at many of our tastings they have had producers from Italy present at these events.
Oliva Verde will be present at the Wendling Food Fest in Norfolk on June 14th working together with Slow food Norwich and East Anglia, were they will also have a stand showcasing four olive oils from the Marche region. This will be followed by two olive oil tasting events at Maida Hill Place in west London in August and another at the prestigious HUB Westminster in London also in August. These events will then be followed by the Festivaldelgusto at the Castello di Monterado near Senigallia in Marche at the end of September.
